The organoid of the normal human gallbladder is derived from the healthy gallbladder tissue obtained during gallbladder stone surgery.The mucosa of the gallbladder is a single-layer columnar epithelium with secretion and absorption functions.Normal gallbladder organoid forms cystic-like hollow structures, which are similar to the histological characteristics of normal gallbladder tissue and express bile duct epithelial markers CK7 and CK19.The organoid of the gallbladder can be used as a model for studying the physiology of the gallbladder, the mechanism of bile secretion, and gallbladder diseases (including cholelithiasis and gallbladder cancer).
