Gallbladder carcinoma (GBC) is the most common malignancy of the biliary tract system and the sixth most common malignancy of the gastrointestinal tract.GBC organoid is derived from surgically removed gallbladder tumor tissue.GBC organoid retains the histopathological characteristics of the primary tumor, including glandular structure, cribriform structures, and cytokeratin 7 (CK7) expression.GBC is highly regionally differentiated-it is more common in some parts of developing countries.Common driver mutations include TP53, KRAS, PIK3CA, ERBB2, and CDKN2A.Gallbladder adenoma (GBA) organoid can be used as an intermediate model from benign to malignant gallbladder disease.Compared with normal gallbladder organoid, GBC organoid exhibits an irregular cystic sieve-like structure, and usually does not require exogenous Wnt3a, R-spondin, and PGE2 to grow.
