Product Description

The Nile Red Fluorescence Detection Kit is a sensitive, ready-to-use solution for fluorescent detection and quantification of intracellular lipid droplets in cultured cells and organoids, enabling high-content analysis of lipid accumulation for steatosis modeling and metabolic research.

The kit contains Nile Red fluorescent dye and optimized assay buffers. Nile Red exhibits strong fluorescence enhancement in hydrophobic lipid environments, allowing selective staining of neutral lipids with excitation/emission spectra compatible with standard fluorescence microscopes and plate readers.

Typical applications include quantitative measurement of lipid accumulation in fatty liver organoid models, high-throughput screening of compounds affecting lipid metabolism, and orthogonal validation together with the Free Fatty Acids Kit (GBOK0045) and Oil Red O Staining Kit (GBOK0046).

Each batch is quality-controlled for fluorescence performance, background signal, and lot-to-lot consistency.
