Product Description
The Free Fatty Acids Kit is a ready-to-use reagent set for inducing lipid accumulation (steatosis) in hepatocytes, liver organoids, and other cultured cells, enabling in vitro modeling of fatty liver disease (NAFLD/NASH) and lipid metabolism studies.
The kit contains SW-001 Sodium Oleate Solution (10 mmol/L, 10 mL), SW-002 Sodium Palmitate Solution (5 mmol/L, 10 mL), and SW-003 Solvent Control (10 mL), sufficient for approximately 400 treatments in 24-well plate format. The optimized oleate/palmitate combination mimics physiologically relevant free fatty acid exposure while minimizing lipotoxicity artifacts.
Typical applications include fatty liver modeling in liver organoids, screening of anti-steatotic compounds, and studies of lipid droplet formation and insulin resistance. The kit is fully compatible with GBiowit's Oil Red O Staining Kit (GBOK0046) and Nile Red Fluorescence Detection Kit (GBOK0047) for qualitative and quantitative readout of lipid accumulation.
Each component is manufactured under strict quality control, including concentration verification, sterility testing, and lot-to-lot consistency verification.
