Monkey liver organoid differentiation medium is used to induce differentiation of enlarged crab-eating monkey liver organoids (source of hepatotrophic progenitor cells) into functional liver cells (hepatocyte-like cells) or cholangiocytes (cholangiocytes).Adult stem cells in liver organoids have two-way differentiation potential and can be divided into liver cells (expressing ALB, CYP450, drug transporter) and bile duct cells (expressing KRT7, KRT19, CFTR).Liver cells are the main site of drug metabolism, expressing CYP450 enzyme lines (CYP1A2, CYP2B6, CYP2C9, CYP2D6, CYP3A4/5, etc.) and drug transporter proteins.The liver duct organoids of crab-eating monkeys established by Jiang et al. in 2023 showed the richest expression of drug metabolism enzymes and transporter proteins in the pharmacokinetic function evaluation.
