Mouse pancreatic exocrine organoids are derived from adult mouse pancreatic ductal epithelial cells (pancreatic ductal epithelial cells), these cells contain adult bi-potential pancreatic progenitors (adult bi-potential pancreas progenitors), expressing LGR5 stem cell markers.Pancreatic organoids (also known as "mini-pancreas", mini-pancreata) form a cystic globular structure, and the epithelium expresses pancreatic stem cell markers (LGR5), progenitor cell markers (PDX1, SOX9), and ductal cell markers (CAR2, MUC1, KRT19).The pancreas is an organ with dual functions of exocrine and endocrine, and the exocrine part accounts for more than 90% of the volume of the pancreas.The pancreatic organoid model is of great value for the study of pancreatic cell biology, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), cystic fibrosis, pancreatitis, and diabetes and other metabolic diseases.Mouse pancreatic organoids can be passed down every 3-6 days, maintained for a long time and can be frozen.
