Human renal cell carcinoma (RCC) organoids are derived from surgically removed renal tumor tissue or biopsy samples.RCC is the most common renal malignancy. The main subtypes include: clear cell RCC (ccRCC, 70-80%), papillary RCC (pRCC, 10-15%), color-blocking cell RCC (chRCC, 5%) and ductal carcinoma.ccRCC is characterized by the inactivation of the VHL gene, which leads to the accumulation of HIF-1a/2a, which promotes angiogenesis and glycolysis.Other common mutations include PBRM1, BAP1, SETD2, MET (papillary), etc.RCC organoids retain tumor gene mutation profiles, histological characteristics and drug response, with a high success rate (77%, 33/43 cases).
