Bladder cancer (BC) is the tenth most common malignant tumor in the world, of which urothelial carcinoma (UC) accounts for more than 90%.Bladder cancer can be divided into non-intramuscular bladder cancer (NMIBC) and intramuscular bladder cancer (MIBC).NMIBC accounts for about 75%, with a relatively good prognosis but a high recurrence rate; MIBC accounts for about 25%, with a poor prognosis.Bladder cancer has significant tumor heterogeneity, and can be divided into subtypes such as luminal, basal, and p53-like according to molecular characteristics.Patient-derived bladder cancer organoids (BCO) can retain the histopathological characteristics, gene expression profiles, and molecular heterogeneity of the primary tumor, and are an important model for studying the development of bladder cancer, drug screening, and precision medicine.Characteristic markers of bladder cancer cell expression include GATA3, CK5/6, CK7, CK20, p63, CD24 and CD44.
